The midfielder Crosses from dead balls and free-kicks caused problems. Was given room to roam in left midfield yet found himself offside upon receiving in shooting positions. Given a merited substitution around the 60-minute point. Six

Jude Bellingham Operated in a forward role down the right while also did plenty of dirty work. Showed moments of class but mishit an effort over. Replaced towards the end by Rogers, his rival, after being booked. Seven

The winger Was presented with the team's top opening of the first half, his shot smartly stopped from the opposing goalkeeper. With a teammate staying deep, he was forced to provide width down the right side but his crosses from the touchline were hit and miss. Taken off with 15 to go. 6

The captain The match-winner scoring seventy-seventh and seventy-eighth finishes in an England shirt. The first a typical opportunist's goal and his next an excellent finish with his head following a clever run from his marker. At 32, his form is unwavering and the side are strong contenders in future competitions with him up top. 8/10

The attacker Had difficulty to make an impact from the left. Was presented with a good opening after being played in by Bellingham yet Strakosha denied him. His replacement produced a bigger influence after coming on. Five
